Traditionally, music for funerals has consisted of organ music and hymns, often restricted by the ability of the person playing the organ.

 

You can take complete control of the music used at a funeral. CDs, tapes (not recommended because of the quality issue) or digital formats (eg. MP3) can be used, so favourite music can form an integral part of the ceremony. This can be highly significant in tailoring something very personal. Music is a very powerful medium of communication and conveying emotion.
