Making a choice between requests for flowers or donations is important, because it lets people know how you would like them to remember the person who has died.

 

These days, many families choose to send one floral tribute from everyone, and request charitable donations in lieu of flowers. Donations can be to a national or local charity or organisation, usually one which is close to the heart of the deceased.

 

I am happy to administer all donations, and there is no charge for this. Donors are requested to send cheques, made payable to the charity, to me. I will collate a list of donors which I will send to my client after a pre-agreed time, so you can say your personal thanks to those who have given money. At the same time, I will send all the cheques to the charity, and ask them to acknowledge receipt of these to you.

 

As a further service to you, an announcement of the death and the arrangements regarding your choice of charity can appear on this website under the Obituaries heading, free of charge, and you can direct everyone to this for details of your requests.

 

Unusual and non-traditional requests can usually be accommodated - please do not be afraid to ask.
